Pet Partners Animal Clinic, a full-service veterinary clinic in Sussex, WI, uses multiple tools to diagnose problems with your pet. The most important tool we have is our hands and eyes during a complete physical exam. There are many different factors we take into consideration as we move nose to tail during the exam. This is the time for you to be our partners and point out anything you’ve noticed about your family member.
Some tests we do are routine to make sure no disease is present. These include heart worm testing, screening for tick diseases, and testing cats for feline leukemia virus and feline immunodeficiency virus. Another important routine test is a stool sample to rule out intestinal parasites.
Other tests are run as symptoms warrant. Many may be done in our clinic. These include urine sample analysis (urinalysis) and special testing for disorders of the GI tract. Yet other tests get sent to outside laboratories. Our primary lab is IDEXX Labs, which provides daily pick ups and next day turnaround, in most cases. Specialty labs are used as warranted.
Pet Partners Animal Clinic proudly utilizes in-house digital x-rays. This allows for beautiful, detailed diagnostic images. Digital capabilities allow us to share with the referral clinics we may need to utilize, providing excellent continuity of care.
